It was the thought of writing a novel that both inspired and scared me, when I decided to take a more serious approach to fictional writing, after I had retired from the short exclamations of copywriting. True, writing anything of such length seemed a daunting task, but once the words started flowing I couldn't wait to see how each chapter unfolded, how my original idea twisted away in places and reformed in changes of direction that I hadn't expected to come to mind. To me, writing my four novels, so far, has proved as illuminating as reading another author's work, for overcoming the hurdles of reaching the end destination is as teasing a journey as trying to guess another author's climactic end.
